How do I get an issue of AMERICAN RIFLEMAN or AMERICAN HUNTER or AMERICA’S FIRST FREEDOM or SHOOTING ILLUSTRATED in the NRA MAGAZINES app?

Once you’ve downloaded your free app, send your last name and member number to: [email protected] and we will provide you with log in information.

Can I purchase a digital magazine subscription to NRA MAGAZINES via iTunes?
No. AMERICAN RIFLEMAN, AMERICAN HUNTER and AMERICA’S FIRST FREEDOM are Official Journals of the NRA and are a benefit of membership. You can join the NRA and select a digital magazine as part of your membership benefits. You will still need to download the NRA MAGAZINES app to your tablet to access your issues.

Do my issues expire?
No. Any downloaded issues are yours to keep as long as you keep the NRA MAGAZINES app on your tablet. Again, each issue must be downloaded. To keep receiving issues, you need to keep your NRA membership current.

Can I share the Tablet Edition issue with friends?
No. There are no sharing features available.

Why won’t my tablet Tablet Edition download?
Since the average tablet edition is 200 Mb, it can take up to 10 minutes or longer to download depending on your Wi-Fi Internet connection. We recommend not using a 3G/4G connection.

I already subscribe to the print edition of AMERICAN RIFLEMAN/AMERICAN HUNTER/AMERICA’S FIRST FREEDOM. Can I get the digital issues as part of my subscription?
Yes, for a limited time, NRA members who receive print issues can access these tablet editions. Download the NRA MAGAZINES app and follow the login instructions above.

What devices can the NRA MAGAZINES app be used with?
It is available for Apple iPad and Android tablets at this time.
