This Needed to Be Said

Often the most-interesting parts of congressional hearings are the performative one-liners congressman deliver in attempts to get onto cable news programs. But, now and then, something so honest and off-script happens that we should stop and pay attention. Instead, the right to keep and bear arms is in the midst of a modern renaissance, thanks to the U.S. Supreme Court's historic decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen. How we arrived at this moment shows the power of coordinated pro-gun activism. Signs Don't Stop Evildoers

Will wonders never cease? In February, The New York Times began to question one of the stupidest—perhaps the stupidest—piece of gun-control orthodoxy on offer in these United States: that hardened criminals will be stopped from taking guns into a given area by signs telling them that they are not allowed to do so. In the wake of a murder in New York's Times Square... Read More

Gun Review: Smith & Wesson Equalizer

Gun Review: Smith & Wesson Equalizer

Smith & Wesson's newest gun is called the Equalizer, and though it's no Wild West-style gun, I nonetheless get tumbleweed vibes from the name. You know: outside the dusty goldminers' town, a train wails its sad song. A woman races to her ramshackle cabin, bars the door against approaching outlaws and makes sure her gun is loaded. Read More
